So, you got an awesome place at Snowshoe this summer, but the last thing you want to do is climb BACK into your car to drive around the mountain after spending 5 hours driving TO the mountain.
We've all been there, Paul Rudd.
Thankfully, Snowshoe knows. And they're here for us, guys.
Enter the Snowshoe Shuttle Crew.

Before I get to all the details of the shuttle service, I need you to know what actually makes the shuttle service special. No surprise here: it's the people driving these buses. I've been very fortunate over the last year to get to know the drivers and now, it's your turn.
This summer, you'll see four main drivers: Tabitha, Britt, Arlin and Bill. They are all kind and very helpful. They'll also let you ride quietly, in peace, if you like. And I'm going to HIGHLY discourage you from doing that.
You see, I've learned more about the mountain (it's history, things to do, fun facts and wild rumors) from talking to these drivers than from anywhere or anyone else.
This is Britt and Tabitha Parcell, and if you're lucky, you'll get to take a ride with them this summer. They also do a million other cool things like annual New Year's Day polar plunges and they own Greenbrier Bee Farm. They tell the best stories about the Snowshoe Airport, can educate you on the pollinator garden on the mountain, and will give you tips on the best places to seek out on and off mountain.
Speaking of tips: the shuttle service is free for guests on the mountain to use. So, after you have learned, laughed, and fallen in love with the Shuttle Crew, it's really nice to:
Now that you know who the drivers of these chariots are, here are the important details you need to know about the shuttle service this summer.
Basics:
- Hours: 8am-6pm, daily
- Where: Silvercreek to Top of the World (see map below, the blue "B" is for bus stop) and BONUS: the lake!
- Cost: free (kinda: paid by Snowshoe property owners and available for everyone to use free of charge!)
- Extras: You cannot take bikes on the shuttles, but you can take it to a brewery... so it's fine.
3 main ways to ride:
- Call 304-572-5808 and request a shuttle to whatever stop you're at
- Walk to the shuttle stop in the village or Silvercreek. There's often a shuttle hangin out.
- Hang out at a stop and catch a shuttle that happens to drive past (you might be waiting a while)
Our top 3 favorite places to shuttle right now:
- Top of the World to hike the Bear Scat Trail
- Shavers Lake to play some disc golf, especially if it's during a time the lift isn't running
- The Bears Den at Silvercreek (or The Locker Room, that's cool too)
Okay- you're ready! Enjoy your newfound love of the shuttles at Snowshoe!
